VSA was engaged by the Government Office Accommodation Directorate of BMW in 2008 to undertake a Strategic Review of the Department of Commerce’s office accommodation requirements.
The review covered the head office functions of the various divisions within the Department, i.e. Consumer Protection, Worksafe, Labour Relations, Energy Safety, Science, Innovation and Business, Building Commission and the Office of the Director General (including Corporate Services).
The accommodation review took into account the Department’s operational requirements and also considered the location and adjacency requirements of the various Divisions. The combined requirement to accommodate the whole Department was assessed at approximately 22,500m2.
VSA was subsequently engaged to assist with a preliminary assessment of the accommodation options that were submitted in response to an EOI exercise coordinated by BMW themselves.
